Terms of Service

These Terms explain the rules for using KlarFort. KlarFort helps you organize and understand the financial information you enter, while you remain responsible for your records and decisions.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KlarFort app, this website (klarfort.com), and any related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use KlarFort. The Service is not offered to minors, including with parent or guardian consent. KlarFort may not be available in all jurisdictions; you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with local law.

After the opening subscription screen, KlarFort presents one Terms & Privacy screen. Both available actions accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Disclaimer and confirm that you are at least 18. Accept & Allow Measurement also opts in to the full user-level advertising measurement described in the Privacy Policy; Accept With Limited Measurement accepts the same documents while KlarFort still reports the app install, app sessions, a store trial start, and a first paid subscription to measurement partners in limited mode, without an advertising identifier or Apple tracking permission. Choosing limited measurement does not restrict the Service, preview, purchases, restores, or subscription benefits, and you can switch between full and limited measurement anytime in Settings. On iOS, Apple asks separately for tracking authorization only after you choose to allow full measurement.

2. Your service profile

KlarFort does not use an email, name, password, or social-login identity for its service profile. Access is pseudonymous and may be supported by a verified Apple App Store or Google Play purchase. You are responsible for safeguarding your device and store account. Notify us at contact@klarfort.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. License

Except for the free-tools permission below, and subject to your compliance with these Terms, KlarFort grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for your own portfolio organisation. The Service, including all underlying software and design, remains the property of KlarFort and its licensors.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's source code beyond what applicable law permits.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written permission.
• Use the Service to store, transmit, or process unlawful content.
• Use automated means to access or query the Service except via the official app and its supported APIs or as permitted by the free-tools permission.
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service except as permitted by the free-tools permission.

5. Subscriptions and billing

KlarFort offers paid auto-renewing subscriptions in addition to a free tier. The current paid subscriptions, their length, and the features they include are presented inside the app at the point of purchase, alongside the price for your region. All billing is handled exclusively by Apple App Store or Google Play. KlarFort does not process payment cards directly and cannot bill you outside those stores.

A store free trial may be available to eligible new subscribers on some plans; the trial length and the price charged when it ends are shown on the store's purchase sheet before confirmation, and the subscription converts to the displayed paid plan unless canceled through the store before the trial ends. Plans without a trial are charged from the first day of the selected billing period. The app may separately provide an app-managed preview that requires no payment method and never converts into a charge. By starting a subscription, you accept the following auto-renewal terms in addition to the terms of the store that processes your purchase:

• Payment: payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase. The price and billing period are disclosed for your region inside the app and native purchase sheet before you confirm.
• Auto-renewal: unless you cancel through the originating store before the deadline it shows for your subscription, the paid subscription renews automatically and that store charges the displayed price within its stated billing window. Each paid renewal is for the billing period you selected.
• Managing the subscription: you can manage the subscription, change tier, or turn off auto-renewal at any time. On iOS, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. On Android, open the Google Play app and choose Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation prevents the next charge but does not remove access that the store still reports as entitled. A store-reported expiration, refund, revocation, hold, pause, pending purchase, or other non-entitled state may end access immediately. The store's purchase sheet and subscription status govern the billing period.
• Restoring purchases: if you reinstall the app or use a new device, you can restore an active subscription using the Restore Purchases action inside the app with the same Apple ID or Google account that originated the purchase.
• Price changes: the price of a subscription may change. Where applicable store rules require, Apple or Google will notify you of an increase in advance, and your consent will be obtained where required by those rules before the new price is applied to your subscription.

6. Refunds

Refund requests are governed by the policies of the store you purchased through:

• Apple App Store: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Google Play: request a refund through the Google Play refund flow within the eligible window.

KlarFort does not directly process refunds.

7. Free tier and feature changes

The Service's free and paid tiers, and the features available in each, may change over time. We will give reasonable notice for material reductions to features you rely on, and where store rules require, we will offer continuation or refund options consistent with those rules.

8. Financial, investment, tax, and legal disclaimer

KlarFort is an organization and analysis tool. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, brokerage, or other professional advice. KlarFort is not registered as an investment adviser or broker-dealer and is not a CPA, tax preparer, attorney, or fiduciary. Using the Service does not create an adviser-client, broker-client, attorney-client, accountant-client, fiduciary, or similar professional relationship.

The figures and outputs produced by the Service, including net worth, runway, risk scores, AI conversations, daily insight notes, monitoring alerts, and portfolio-change proposals, are informational summaries based on the data you provide. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, stale, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, insurance, real-estate, estate-planning, or other material decisions.

KlarFort does not recommend that you buy, sell, hold, trade, or otherwise transact in any specific security, cryptocurrency, asset, investment product, insurance product, or financial instrument. KlarFort does not guarantee returns, savings, tax outcomes, portfolio performance, risk reduction, or data accuracy. You are responsible for verifying all information and consulting licensed professionals in your jurisdiction before acting.

The standalone KlarFort Disclaimer is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, KlarFort disclaims all such warranties.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KlarFort and its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or financial losses arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any direct claims is capped at the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold KlarFort harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete active profile data from Settings. Deletion does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Limited security, purchase-verification, service-protection, and deletion-safeguard records described in the Privacy Policy may remain; temporary service-protection records age out within the stated retention period. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the integrity of the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification, will continue to apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which KlarFort is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts competent for that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in-app and surface on next launch. Continuing to use the Service after a change indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
